At present, the Diabetes Dash is intended to be on August 22, 2021, at the Westerville Sports Complex. If the race is unable to secure final approval from the City of Westerville by late June, the race will be moved to Westerville North High School XC course.
Join us this August 22nd for the 3rd Annual Diabetes Dash 5K Run/Walk
The Diabetes Dash 5K came to be a short time after Ryan Washburn was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in July 2018. After diagnosis, Ryan became very interested in the work of JDRF and knew he wanted to do his part in spreading awareness, give hope to those dealing with the disease and fighting for a cure. Not only is our mission to help fund the research efforts to someday find a cure, but we also want to educate the community about Type 1 Diabetes. Proceeds will be donated to JDRF - Southern & Central Ohio Chapter and a scholarship fund of $1,000 will be established and awarded to a Westerville City School graduating senior living with T1D in 2022.
